Minnesota Timberwolves Just Got Jimmy Butler... Playoff Bound

in sports •  8 years ago

The Minnesota Timberwolves just traded Lauri Markannen, Kris Dunn, and Zach Lavine to the Bulls for Jimmy Butler and the number 16 pick. This deal was robbery on behalf of the Timberwolves, and makes them a completely stacked team that should be poised for a season similar to the one the Thunder had back in 2011.

What do you all think?

Rubio
Butler
Wiggins
Towns
Dieng

If they can upgrade that center position... game over. Well, never mind, the Warriors still exist.

I know people dont like it because they have to give up dunn, lavin and 7th pick for it, but personally i like it. We all know that wolves already have bunch of talent to develop and they really need the core and they could definitely find it in jimmy bulter.

Good trade in my opinion.

Oh yeah I think it was a great trade for them. Lavine is good but he didn't mesh with the team. After he got injured last year they became a winning team, so they needed to get rid of him. Thanks for the comment. I just followed you!

Thank you for your support and follow you back.

I think lavine is a good score but also a volume one which means he is likely to take bad shot, when it goes in, it is a good shot but in reality most of the time, it doesnt and will freak the coach out. Overall i think wolves should be able to find decent scorer coming off the bench in free agent. They probably need a back up point guard now.

I think there is a lot of pressure on Rubio now and he'll definitely need to step up. The last part of this deal is the 16th pick, right? - soon we shall see who is gonna join the twolves...

Rubio was actually their best player to end last season. He was playing like a top 5 point guard after the all-star game. And yes they also get the 16th pick haha

The core of Butler, Wiggins, and Towns is very nice. Depending on how they fill in rest of the team they will most definitely be a playoff team. T-Wolves did a good job.
