Spyderco has been making knives for nearly 40 years. While there are over 200 different knives that have been produced by Spyderco through the years, the Manix 2 carries a special place in my heart. This heavy duty folder was first released in 2010. One of my very first purchases in the knife world was a Manix 2. Since then, many variations of the Manix 2 have hit the market including the newest proferring, the Sprint Run Manix 2 with Carbon Fiber handle scales.

The Manix 2 is an all purpose knife which notably features the patented Ball Bearing Lock. With an extra large finger choil and an easy open classic SpyderHole in the blade, this knife is ideal for daily carry and use.

Sprint Run

For some time now, Spyderco has been offering Sprint Run knives. These are typically knives already being produced but a small batch is produced with a different blade steel, a different handle material, or some combination of both. Limited in number, these Sprint Run knives have proven to be extremely collectible.

This special Sprint Run Manix 2 features carbon fiber handle scales and a special blade steel.

Sure to always be in huge demand, move quick to get yours before they are all sold out. I prefer to buy all my knives from BladeOps, but wherever you decide to purchase yours from--make sure they are a reputable dealer.
