Jermain Defoe For Sports Personality

Today was a sad day for many of people as the amazing Bradley Lowery sadly passed away at just aged 6. Nobody should have to go through that kind of thing let alone a young boy like Bradley. He was such a happy chappy even in the worst possible circumstances which should be a inspiration to all of us to be grateful for what we have. During his time with illness Bradley became best Friends with now Bournemouth and England striker Jermain Defoe, there friendship is an amazing thing to have seen. when you see them together you can see how happy Bradley is to be around Jermain and the same with Defoe with Bradley. You could see how much it meant to Defoe when asked about Bradley yesterday in a press conference he broke down in tears.

In my opinion what Jermain Defoe has done deserves a serious recognition not only as being a football player but just as a human being. Going out of his way to keep in touch with Bradley and his family for me in amazing thing for him to do, a lot of people myself included have a view that footballers all they care about is money but Jermain has shown that even footballers are just normal human beings and the amount of stuff he has done for Bradley and his family i feel should really be rewarded pure on a human being side of things, i know the sports personality of the year is usually done on what people have done for sport but what Jermain has done for Brad is a much bigger thing that what anyone could do in sport so for that reason i feel that Jermain Defoe should be getting sports personality of the year award.

My thoughts are with Bradley and his family.
