Ortiz-vs.-Wilder-4.png

Luis 'King Kong' Ortiz:

This 27-0 monster is the current WBA champion, and the hardest hitter in boxing. He is a tricky southpaw, and now a veteran of the game for over 7 years. That isn't long for a pro, but he only started in 2010...making him somewhat of a prodigy. This 39 year old is getting no younger, and that is why I am so happy he finally got the biggest fight of his life signed. His upcoming opponent for November will actually take Ortiz to the states for the biggest fight of his life, on the biggest boxing stage in the world! This is one of the most unheard of yet dangerous, and terrifying men in the boxing heavyweight world. Keep an eye out for him, and don't say I didn't tell you so!

Deontay 'The Bronze Bomber' Wilder:

This undefeated marvel is 38-0 with a ninety seven percent finishing rate! He is a long, lanky, and self proclaimed 'dangerous motherfucker' and as the heavyweight champ of the world..nobody can really deny that of him. We the fans really want to see him face Anthony Joshua to unite the heavyweight belts (as boxing used to do); we need a unified heavyweight champ to be named the baddest man in the world, and to determine if the UK or the US deserve the herald a champion of the world! Boxing is an evolving game...but Wilder mustn't underestimate Ortiz's age because the man can crack like no other.

Not much else to say because I am so damn excited, and I don't want to be let down. Either visa or passport issues with Ortiz, or Wilder maybe not wanting to risk getting knocked out by a 39 year old relatively unknown boxer to the states. Many things may arise, but if they don't....we will witness magic with this one. It won't go many rounds, in fact neither man would want it to. I can't give a prediction this far out, but I must say: fear an old man in a place where men die young.

Sort Order:

Wilder had a decision win over Bermane Stiverne in 2015, but he has yet to face a real bad ass challenger. All five of his title defenses have come via knockout in his home state, but he looked raw and unpolished in many of them despite facing second-rate opposition.

A victory over Ortiz would put an end to any remaining skepticism that Wilder is anything more than a protected big puncher.

Ortiz, on the other hand, has a chance to score the type of win that might announce him as the most dangerous threat in the division.

Yeah, wilder hasn't faced any real competition and if he Beats Ortiz it will be a really good win. I think Ortiz is a good fighter. If he can get Wilder on the inside, then wilder will have problems, major problems. But Wilder can also try to keep distance as he is much taller with longer reach.

Well said.

creo que ortiz lo pone ko a wilder!!

GUERRA!

Hey @brandonk Awesome post, but I think I did see Ortiz fight in New York under the GGG card. I think.
ps, and deontay is 38 and 0.

Thanks bro you are exactly right, and I meant to the states for his first title fight I have seen him under the Vegas banner before, I am dumb haha!
