Denver has BIG plans for Mile High Stadium! 3-Time World Champs about to level up.

in sports •  7 years ago  (edited)

Mile High Stadium, home of my Denver Broncos is about to go under a $350 Million face lift around its exterior. This is something that has been in the works for 5 years or so and is now entering the final planning stages to bring this Colorado landmark into the future.

The area around the stadium is actually known as the City of Denver which really is not that big of a place as far as territory goes. The plan is to remove all the parking lots on the south end of the stadium and build a value added fan experience in the form of shops, bars, restaurants and high end living. The plan would essentially extend from about the 50 yard line all the way back past the Colfax Bridge and up to the popular bar and grill known as Brooklyn's.

This type of stadium project is currently being used in other cities, not only to give fans an added all day experience on game day but to also get more use out of the prime acreage and real estate the stadium currently sits on during the off season. This area of planned construction is not really that desirable right now and this 5-10 year project would definitely bring the whole Denver experience into a nice little package for not only football fans but our heavy tourist visitors as well. Hanging out in a bar on game day provides more revenue for business but it also provides a nice tie in to our area attractions like, Coors Field, Pepsi Center, Six Flags and the Denver Aquarium The tax payer financed stadium will surely need to get this money from somewhere and most likely it will be funded by taxpayers once again. The few renderings of this project sure look nice but the cost burden to tax payers is bound to get heavy again if this project gets approved.

The City of Denver is an awesome place to visit unless your a K.C. Chiefs Fan in my opinion. A project like this would not only put our City in the serious running for hosting a Super Bowl someday but it will definitely be a great game day experience for years to come. My vote is YES!

Hope it's approved, that would be a great addition to the area. I think it would add more value than the initial expense.

That is awesome. Maybe someday the suns will do that!

Awesome! I like the idea of a bar and fan fun area. That's where the party is at!

Too bad they wouldn't entertain an advertisement from one of your stores for a real "mile high" experience. A broncnutz/papa john's team...win/win.

It is a laudable project apart from the cool stadium upgrade once the upgrade is completed,it's going to provide massive business and employment opportunities as well a boost to the economy so it's a good investment on tax payer's money.

See if you could get the club to take crypto for season ticket payments.

what a design. amazing !!!!!!!!! thanks for sharing

Beautiful stadium and beautiful city

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold

Impressive stadium! In America, you always have a packed stadium even if it's a 100,000 seater. Here in Thailand for OUR type of football (soccer), stadiums are between 2,000-25,000 seater and at best the stadiums are 3/4 full...okay, for the big matches it will be packed, but that's 2-3 home games out of 17. Different approaches as they are football (soccer) mad here, but quality of the game being played here compared to English/Spanish/German football (soccer) is different. Plus a few other factors - ticket prices compare to level of income, lifestyle etc.
Anyway, we hope there will be a Super Bowl at the Mile High Stadium in the future! :)

Ahan great news for football lovers <3
I'm a big fan of Messi :p
I'm becoming your fan too @broncnutz.
Good to see projects like these are happening for the happiness of the nations.

If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it

excllent post

Looks like it will be great for the fans, tailgating condos... ha ha! Denver is a beautiful city. I visited a friend that lives in a house that was developed on the site of the old airport. It is a full blown neighborhood now and it was nicely done. Your video from the crypto conference showed a nice promenade downtown. Denver has a lot to offer and by the time the project is complete you'll probably be able to buy a condo at the stadium with a couple of bitcoin!

good post,thanks for sharing

It's a beautiful stadium already, and I think that maybe too much is spent for the stadiums. It became business maybe too much... It's rare thing here in Europe to build stadiums like that...

Much love, Luka.

what ;a design amazing thanks; for sharing????

Nice plan, not only a subject matter of attraction for the tourist but also have great economical imp...

Damn I need to get there so bad!!!!! The changes look amazing but I just want to be in that stadium cheering on my team!!! Hosting a Super Bowl would be amazing. I can’t see why they wouldn’t choose Denver now that they have done a “cold” super bowl. For the longest time it was sunny or some only. That excludes so many good stadiums. Who knows, maybe if I can swing it I can get my ass to Denver for a game this season. Lol See Case Keenum and the boys destroy the chiefs or the Raiders would be nice!!

nice stadium.. with the upgrade will be even cooler!

Nice.....Post

Things are going up on another level as a fan i am really thrilled to know this thanks for sharing the post bro

wow stadiun very beautiful and nice I really like comrades

That is a huge plan for the city of Denver. On the brighter side, the building of those shops and bars will create room for more employment. Chilling in the bar while enjoying the game is a good way to go

the experience of the game is about to get grand and bigger :)

Big and beautiful stadium,it is a great stadium

Big update coming in thanks for updating us all first up this could be really massive :)

Thanks Man for Sharing a few stunning Clicks. Just made the connection that Mile-High stadium, where the Denver Broncos play, is called so because the altitude in Denver is approximately one mile above sea level.😜

Awesome

Brilliant that sounds and it will be fun awesome thanks for sharing

Nice Pictures @broncnutz, I am also a football fan.
Which team you are supporting @broncnutz? Denver?

the future planning seems to be great and for the fans nothing bigger than this :)

But I have to say that soccer is the real football ^^

denver is going to rock the world in upcoming time can't to see this :D

awesome looking stadium! That's awesome that it's getting a face-lift

Bro this stadium is really big and the design in very cool.

As you said this is completed in 5 year. This kind of projects take time but in final they tell them self that why they took 5 year to complete.

The main think in this kind of stadium that how they can arrange parking for such kind of huge project and i know they manage it very well.

Anyone want to visit this stadium to watch match live.

AT last you clicked awesome picture.

Very elegant way to present you, The truth is in all your words.
It is possible to get many useful examples from your writing. well done and keep it up.

So excited! Where will we park though? LOL

Hey @broncnutz, I haven't seen any of your posts in my feed in awhile, hope all is good! That new stadium looks awesome! Do you know how they are going to be reassigning you your seats yet? We've had Bears season tix in our family for generations. When they built the new Soldier Field (if you can call it that, more like a facelift), we retained seats in similar sections to where our old seats were, but did get an opportunity to upgrade if I'm not mistaken. They definitely took care of us. I wish they had waited a few years though, maybe we'd have a stadium like the Rams or yours too, I'm a bit jealous. Can't wait for the NFL to start...and MLB is just around the corner too!

350 million dollars for facelift. Thats huge. Do they they want to replace everything with diamonds.

This sounds like quite the undertaking, but a project that will add a lot of value to the area. They did a similar thing about a decade ago at Foxboro and added all kinds of shopping, bars, restaurants, fan zone, etc. I'm not Pats fan, I just lived out in Rhode Island for about ten years, but it was a really nice addition to the area and stadium. Granted, Denver is a beautiful city with a lot to offer to begin with, and Foxboro is well, Foxboro so they needed it. I'm not a Denver native but would vote yes with you as well. Good luck hope it passes and the project is a go!

i love sports very much.

Big plans for big things there its going to be cool keep us updated :)

amazing design, amazing stadium . thanks for sharing

I have a problem with tax payers paying for private owners' stadiums. My beloved Pittsburgh Penguins got a new arena this decade and it cost the taxpayers a ton of money. Then, I look to my college town of Columbus, Ohio and there, the owner of the Columbus Crew is attempting to hold the City hostage of their MLS team, The Columbus Crew, saying he'll move the Club if the taxpayers don't pay the bill. It's ridiculous. By definition its fascism, the merger of State and Corporate Powers.

Stadium view is awesome
What a stadium ..

this look like great stadium , i must to come and see a game there

Looks like the territory of fans is going to get even bigger hahah the game will be exciting
