Although the exact terms of the deal isn't final, this makes the Celtics a favorite in the east. Gordon Hayward is coming off his best season as a pro making last seasons Western Conference All Star team for the first time in his young career, finishing the regular season averaging 21.9PPG while shooting 47.1%FG for the Utah Jazz. Hayward led the Utah Jazz to a 51W-31L season which landed them in the playoffs, something they hadn't done since the 2011-12 season. Last time they advanced past the first round, 2009-10. In last seasons playoffs, Utah won a decisive opening round series against the Los Angeles Clippers. The music stopped for the Jazz however, in the Western Conference semi finals when they went down to the eventual NBA Champions, the Golden State Warriors
