NFL POWER RANKINGS

HERE'S HOW THE TEAMS STACK UP AFTER 2 WEEKS

#1 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (2-0)

Even without Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, the Pats have found a way to start out 2-0. Their next 2 games are at home and then they will get Brady back after week 4. As long as Bill Belichick is calling the shots they will remain the superior team in the NFL.

#2 PITTSBURGH STEELERS (2-0)

The Steelers have banked on their Offense to take the first 2 games this season, and have had some help from their Defense. With Le'veon Bell set to return soon, this team will be even more dangerous than before. If their Defense can tighten up, they will be the team to beat.

#3 DENVER BRONCOS (2-0)

Denver is still looking for more QB production, but C.J. Anderson has carried the load for now. Although their Offense hasn't been great, their Defense is by far the best in the league. We should expect QB Trevor Siemian to get better as the season progresses. As for now, this team is lead by LB Von Miller, who is the best defensive player on planet Earth.

#4 HOUSTON TEXANS (2-0)

Houston has been a pleasant surprise this year, mainly due to them signing QB Brock Osweiler. He's had a lot of help with players like WR DeAndre Hopkins and RB Lamar Miller on Offense. However the best player by far, is Defensive juggernaut J.J. Watt, who can single handedly take over any game. This team is likely to win their division and might go pretty far in the playoffs.

#5 CAROLINA PANTHERS (1-1)

The Panthers have not looked great on Defense, but their star QB Cam Newton leads the way for this NFC powerhouse. They did lose to Denver in week 1 on a missed field goal, but some missed calls may have been the difference. They did bounce back, scoring 46 points against San Francisco in week 2, showing the league they're still an elite team that wants to go back to the Superbowl.

#6 NEW YORK GIANTS (2-0)

The Giants are looking a lot stronger on Defense this season and it's what they need to get back to the playoffs. Eli Manning has been solid as well, especially with Victor Cruz back and of course he still has the electrifying Odell Beckham. This team should win their division, if everyone can stay healthy and together throughout the year.

#7 MINNESOTA VIKINGS (2-0)

The Vikings took down the best QB in the game last week as they broke in their new stadium. Sam Bradford showed some promise, since Teddy Bridgewater has been put on IR. The Defense is stout and relentless making this team tougher to beat. They will likely be without Adrian Peterson once again as he will miss 3 months for surgery. However, they have an explosive Offensive weapon named WR Stefon Diggs, who will add a big spark to the team.

#8 PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (2-0)

The Eagles are a team that has looked great so far and their Defense has been stellar especially at forcing turnovers. RB Ryan Matthews has been on top of his game and QB Carson Wentz showed us all that he is for real and may be the future of this franchise. They could definitely be a force in the NFC come playoff time.

#9 ARIZONA CARDINALS (1-1)

The football world was stunned by the Cards losing to a depleted Patriots team in week 1. However they bounced back in all facets of the game against Tampa Bay. They beat down the Bucs winning 40-7 to get back on track. No worries if you're a Cardinals fan, especially with the division being much weaker this season.

#10 GREEN BAY PACKERS (1-1)

The Pack hasn't looked like an elite team so far this season. Even with WR Jordy Nelson back this year, they haven't put up very many points. They still have the best pure QB in the game with Aaron Rodgers, so there's no reason to panic just yet. They will need more help from their Defense and RB Eddie Lacy to take pressure off of Rodgers.

#11 BALTIMORE RAVENS (2-0)

Baltimore looks somewhat like the resilient team it used to be, after a 20-2 comeback last week against the Browns. The Defense is much better than it was a year ago adding S Eric Weddle to back up LB Terrell Suggs and DE Elvis Dumervil. Offensively they've added weapons like WR's Mike Wallace and Devin Hester to compliment veteran QB Joe Flacco who leads the way. Suggs and Weddle seem like the new dangerous rebirth of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.

#12 CINCINNATI BENGALS (1-1)

The Bengals will go as far as QB Andy Dalton's arm will take them and with WR A.J. Green playing the way he is, they should be tough to beat. They've also got a strong Defense, lead by LB Karlos Dansby, which makes them solid up front against the run. Look for the combination of Dalton to Green all season long, as Green cannot be stopped.

#13 NEW YORK JETS (1-1)

Some people think the Jets shouldn't be ranked this good, but they've shown promise on both sides of the ball. They came up 1 point short against Cincinnati, and lit up the Bills Defense Thursday night. Ryan Fitzpatrick has been a stat monster, with help from Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall. This dangerous team might win the division over the Patriots this year, and coach Rex Ryan is always motivated to beat the Pats.

#14 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (1-1)

The Chiefs are lucky to have a win, after the huge comeback they mounted against the Chargers in week 1. However, this team always seems to find a way to put a string of wins together towards playoff time. Andy Reid has a big opportunity to win the division with Peyton Manning out of the way. Most likely they'll at least get a wild card spot.

#15 SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (1-1)

San Diego could easily be 2-0, if not for blowing a huge lead against Kansas City in week 1. Although WR Keenan Allen and RB Danny Woodhead are done for the year, DE Joey Bosa should have a big impact when he's ready to go. RB Melvin Gordon has proven to be a big help along side touchdown machine TE Antonio Gates. With QB Phillip Rivers behind center, this team always has a legitimate chance to make a playoff run.
