Any Pride Fighting Championship fans here on Steemit?

I shared the poster Rizin Fighting Federation put out a few days ago, and since I'm seeing we have some MMA and BJJ people here on Steemit I figured I'd share the event promo for this year's New Year's Eve event. They close out the year big in Japanese MMA and I'm glad RIzin is keeping with the tradition that Pride Fighting Championships made legendary in MMA.

Check out the promo here:

They're doing a deal with the way the pay per view airs since the event dates are December 29 and 31 at 1 a.m. EST. You can watch one for $19.99 or watch both days for $29.99. I know you can probably see if your cable or satellite provider has it, but if you like streaming combat sports you may want to grab the FITE TV app, as they have worked out a deal to stream pay-per-views through them. The FITE TV app works with Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV and other streaming devices and is available free on Android and iOS.

Just a note about the FITE TV app, they show boxing, pro-wrestling, MMA, submission grappling and kickboxing. A lot of the events are free and some you have to pay for, like the Rizin event. FITE is partnered with my site The Blogboard Jungle and I'll likely set up a page there too for folks to order the pay-per-view.

Pride was pretty awesome :)

Competition is good for business and I think we are seeing that renewed with Bellator's success and the current criticism of the UFC since the sale and their own disregard for the rankings within the promotion.

Yeah, I agree. UFC is somewhat oversaturated, and it's definitely not the same. I mean it's still the best promotion overall imo, but I love competition. I really hope Bellator continues to rise. We need a strong #2 company that poses a legitimate threat to UFC.
