Hey Steemians! I have decided that 1 year from today, I will partake in my first amateur Mixed Martial Arts fight. I have no prior fighting experience aside from the occasional scruff as a kid. I am fully aware of how much training and dedication it will require on my behalf in order to prepare myself for this endeavor, much less bring home a victory... Nonetheless, the goal has been set and now I plan to do what it takes to achieve it. Along with the other random posts on this account, I plan to do atleast bi weekly updates on my progression towards the fight. Here is a bit of a description of myself so that there is something to reference back to as far as where I started. I am in moderately good shape at 5'11 and 178 pounds and lift 4-5 days a week and do cardio 3 times a week. The following is a list of my 1 rep/10 rep maxes on what I consider the core lifts:
Bench Press 1 rep max: 310
Squat 10 rep max: 235
Deadlift 10 rep max: 245
2 mile run: 13:30
This is meant to help give an understanding of my current level of fitness. As the week's go by I will include pictures and videos to help better show the progress I've made towards being in fighting shape as well as being able to be a contender in the cage. Thank you so much for giving this a read and I hope you'll join me on my journey! Don't forget to upvote and resteem!
