After the giro d'italia, le tour de france is next and starts tomorrow july 1st to july 23rd, will cover a total of 3,540 kms. I am so happy because there are many cyclist representing Colombia; Nairo Quintana, Rigoberto Uran, Sergio Ruiz, John Atapuma, Esteban Chaves, among others. But we also have the pleasure to appreciate the great work the other competitors do like Froome, Amador, Alberto Contador, Pinot, Rolland, and of course Dumoulin will be missed!
This will be the route

This year the route will be less mountainous than 2016, the organisers opened up about it and said it was designed to encourage attacking racing which was lacking in 2016. After having said this, we only can wish them the best of luck and may the best man win!

Wow, I never realized how long it really is, but when you see it on the map it is quite the trek!

haha yes it is!!

I also love that they start with a time trial. Will be really special in Düsseldorf, Germany I'm sure. Tony Martin will be trying for the yellow jersey on German soil. Let the suffering begin!

hahah i know!!

Wow. Tough race conditions today. Really disappointed that the organizers only have metal barriers at the slippery corners for the riders to crash into. Of course the riders will be taking risks. Really sad for Valverde!

I'm excited for this! I wish I was home, being from Liege, I could have seen them.

it is exciting! i wish i was there also supporting them! next time!

Anybody but Froome!!! The TDF pales drastically in quality to the Giro d'Italia where the course is usually so much better. Less mountains may aid breakaways, but the Pelaton should stay together and be less competitive. There are ridiculous 'unwritten' rules which stops attacks on the Yellow Jersey once a true GC contender has it, which has made the TDF very boring recently with Team Sky and Froome winning not facing too many challenges. Sure hope this years TDF comes close to the excitement we had in Italy earlier.

i agree, the giro was great, and so far it seems quite better than le tour which this time does not look so challegning! let see and cheer Nairo Quintana up!! ;)

nice post...

thanks! glad you enjoy it!
