The most talked about thing in Indian cricket now is who is the head coach of the national team. Current coaches like Robi Shastri, Mahela Jayawardene, Gary Kirsten and Tom Moody are on the list. However, the surprise news is that more than two thousand applications have been submitted to coach the Indian team.
According to BCCI sources, officials were sitting in anticipation of Jayawardene's appeal. But he did not submit the application. Former IPL captain is the coach of the current IPL champions Mumbai Indians. He wants to coaching there now. He is not interested in coaching any national team.

Meanwhile, Robi Shastri is going to stay in the Indian coach. One of the advisory committee members, Bhagwuman Gaikwad, has said the current coach will be retained.
Gaikwad was the coach of the Indian team for two to five years. He directly stated that Shastri had no thought to remove. He cites Robi Shastri's performance as the reason. However other coaching staff may change.
Most of the Indian cricketers are happy with the work of coach Robbie Shastri. This is why he is the first choice of all. Bowling coach Bharat Arun also applied again. However, the job of batting coach Sanjay Bangar may not be there.
Gaikwad said, “When it comes to performance justice, Robi Shastri has done well. Excluding the subject of Robi Shastri, he will be selected in another coaching position. It depends on who is applying and whether they have the BCCI's own qualifications, "he said.
Kapil Dev's advisory committee members are Bhaguman Gaikwad and Shanta Rangaswamy. This committee selected WV Ramon as the coach of the national women's team last December. There was much debate though.
