I don't think he had anything to lose. He is in the last year of a $60 million dollar contract. He knows his playing skills have diminished to a point he will never make more than the minimum . I doubt he plays beyond this year and may never play again. He went into full damage control by posting all those nice tweets thanking chicago, the fans, organziation, team. lol.
