Today's fourth stage of the Giro D'Italia welcomed the cyclists to Sicily. After three days on Sardinia they climbed first big hill today - Mount Etna.

It was a fascinating display of resilience and grit by Slovenian rider Jan Polanc who broke away from the main group early into the stage. He managed to salvage his lead right to the finish.

I was standing in front of the TV in the last minutes and practically pushing Jan Polanc up and across to the finish. I bet that half of Slovenia with its sports fans did the same :)
