NFL Thursday Night Preview

We finally get something that could amount to a decent game on Thursday Night Football with the Philadelphia Eagles (1-2) meeting the Green Bay Packers (3-0). This will be the first Thursday Night Game viewable on Amazon Prime, which is really nice because trying to watch the game on the Yahoo Sports App and NFL App has been rough.
Here's a quick look at the game:

Admittedly, I don't have any money on the game, but I would take Green Bay at -4. I took Green Bay -4 after thinking about this game from a fantasy standpoint.

General Fantasy Thoughts

We've been accustomed to Aaron Rodgers and the offense bailing out the defense that we've barely noticed how good the Green Bay defense has been this year. They have yet to allow more than 16 points to an offense this season. I'll also be interested in the splits between Aaron Jones/Jamaal Williams and Davante Adams/Marquez Valdes-Scantling. I have a feeling Rodgers is going to go out of his way to get Adams a TD. We'll see if Davante has a bounce-back game. I think there's a chance Aaron Rodgers goes off in a blow out.

I've been dumping my dynasty shares of Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams. That split will be a tricky devil to figure out each week. Even if you guess right, you might get a goodish game. I'm not a big fan of either of them in this game.

Philadelphia has scored 20 or more points in every game this year, but the offense is beat up with Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson missing time. This would have been a tough matchup under the best circumstances.

Philadelphia's best chance is to lean on Zach Ertz and finally unleash Miles Sanders. Green Bay has done well keeping teams' pass games in check, but they've been gashed in back-to-back weeks by the run game giving up 154 yards and a TD to Dalvin Cook and then 144 yards and 2 TDs to the combo of Philip Lindsay-Royce Freeman. I'm not confident this offense will be able to keep pace with Green Bay's offense.

It was a great game. Hey look at that; Howard and Sanders ran for over 150 yards. GB pissed away points inside the 20 and I lost my bet.
