Earlier this month, Ronaldo had issued a challenge to his long standing rival, Lionel Messi to move to the Serie A and prove that he is still the best regardless of what league he plays in.
"Ronaldo is a great player,no doubt" Messi recently replied in retrospect to the challenge "he has achieved a lot across Europe but if he wants me to come to Italy to continue the contest,I'm afraid that can't happen. Barcelona is the best team in the world and like a home to me. I don't need to leave my home to prove anything to anyone. What matters is that I play football and I'm happy with my family"
