It looks like I was wrong about LeBron all along.

in sports •  6 years ago

If you have read any of my previous posts, you know I am a vehement LeBron hater. In fact, in the past, when I have ranted about him, I often referred to King James as “LeDouche”.

LeBron never fails to amaze when he has a mic in his hand.

Today is a unique day. It is a day that proves with age comes wisdom. As the wise old man I am today, I can freely admit that I was wrong all along about LeBron. In my youth, I may have stubbornly stuck by my guns and refused to change my way of thinking when presented with such irrefutable evidence that I was wrong. I would simply dig in my heels and continue to rail against the most athletically gifted player in the history of the NBA. I would most likely fall into that trap of thinking that admitting I was wrong would somehow diminish me as a man.

However, today I can stand before you all and proudly say,

“My name is hanshotfirst and I was wrong. LeBron truly is The G.O.A.T. (the greatest of all time).”

I am not like Arthur Fonzerelli. I can freely admit when I am wrong.

I will ignore the flopping. I will ignore his taking the easy way out and only succeeding when he plays along side multiple stars. I will ignore his inability to perform the role of GM. I will ignore the disappearing acts he has pulled in the fourth quarter of NBA Finals games. I will ignore his deferring to others instead of dominating with his freakish athletic ability. I will ignore his arrogance and the South Beach “pep rally for nothing”.

Why have I finally seen the error of my ways?

Today LeBron made the most GOATlike statement I have ever heard. Shortly after the Lakers announced that LeBron would not play any more games this year due to his team being eliminated from the playoff hunt, LeBron dropped this truth bomb. He said,

“I like being uncomfortable in the offseason. I like being counted out. It motivates me.”

Wow. None of the previous GOATs have ever uttered such a profound statement. Do you know why?

Because The G.O.A.T. never leaves room for doubt and he certainly doesn’t need other people to motivate him. The G.O.A.T. is driven by one thing and one thing only: the internal and unstoppable need to win.

LeBron truly is The G.O.A.T.

April Fools!!!!!

At least LeDouche has a sense of humor about it.

Remember when Jordan needed the media and fans to motivate him to want to win?

Neither do I.
