Houston had an impressive night offensively outscoring Golden State 127-105 last night to tie the Western Conference Finals at 1-1. The Rockets were firing on all cylinders and proved why they held the best regular season record.
James Harden again proved why he will be this years MVP with the game's only double double, putting up 27 points with his 10 rebounds. Eric Gordon also added 27 points shooting an impressive 6 for 9 from downtown. P.J. Tucker scored 22 points and Trevor Ariza added 19 more. Chris Paul put up 16 points in his first ever win in a Western Conference Finals.
Houston's offense was truly impressive in this victory. The Rockets made 38% of their 3 pt attempts as a team. There is still room for improvement as Harden and Paul each only made 20% of their 3 pt attempts, shooting 3 of 15 and 1 of 5 respectively.
Each team will get some rest before the series resumes Sunday in Golden State for Game 3.
Can the Rockets continue to outscore the Warriors like they did last night?
Only time will tell.
