If your team is going to lose in record setting fashion, at least look good doing it!

Last night I sat down to watch my beloved Phoenix Suns get destroyed.

This was not your run of the mill losses on opening night by the way, no, this was a loss of epic proportions.

"Destroyed" was probably an understatement for what I witnessed last night.

When the dust had settled the Phoenix Suns lost by 48 points.

That marked the largest loss on opening night in Phoenix Suns franchise history and the also the team's largest loss of all time overall!

Not to mention the suns only scored 76 points which was lower than they scored in any game all of last season.

Heck, Devin Booker scored 70 by himself at one point last year!

However, it gets worse...

This 48 point defeat also marks the largest opening night loss in NBA history.

I guess if you are going to be bad, might as well be historically bad right?

Not only that, but the 48 point loss was actually a slight improvement over where the game was most of the 4th quarter as the suns were down close to 60 most of the final period.

But through all of the muck and garbage, this happened...

There was one saving grace in all of this.

Well actually it wasn't really a saving grace but it was pretty humorous never the less, and thankfully it is dominating the headlines at least as much as the news of the embarrassing defeat is...

Without further ado, check this out:

Every Phoenix Suns player on the court turned and ran in complete unison after Bledsoe stole the ball.

Not only that, but when they turned to run, they all stepped with the exact same foot first.

They couldn't do this again if they tried.

Now that is something that the ballet would be proud of!

I guess if your favorite team is going to get crushed, at least they can look good doing it. :)

(Booker would have almost single-handedly outscored the entire team's effort last night)

To all my crypto fans out there...

Sorry to deviate away from my usual cryptocurrency topics, but I figured this was too good to pass up. Especially since it was opening night and all.

To get back to cryptocurrency, check out this post from yesterday and see if you can convince me otherwise and win some SBD in the process:

It s the worst loss in franchise history...
Do you honestly think the solution to all the Sun’s problems is drafting another child basketball player? I just do not understand why the draft get’s so over emphasized. As if Luka Skywalker or whoever the hell he is will just make the Sun’s a championship contender by his mere presence on the team. Personally, I couldn’t care less if Smooka Luka, or whoever the hell he is gets drafted by the Sun’s. The Sun’s are going to suck, no matter who they draft, until they field a team with an average age above 22. Drafting another child does not move the age meter in the right direction.

Good catch! I do think it is a solution yes. It's no guarantee of course, but nothing really is. Talent trumps just about everything else in the NBA. If it doesn't all gel together, you can flip it for other assets that may gel together. However, if you don't have talent, you don't have anything.

Your point about age is a good one. I think the plan is to keep these guys together and grow them all together, so a few years from now the team will be mostly the same core pieces but they won't be under 22 anymore.

At the point the hope is that they have learned how to win. Personally I think if the suns had gotten Lonzo Ball this year it would have made a big difference in the win/loss column. Bledsoe is a good player but he doesn't make anyone around him better.

The suns have scorers... they just need someone to set them up. If they find the right point guard I think this team turns around in a hurry.

When 2k is more realistic than real life

It looks like a video game doesn't it?!

The Phoenix Suns team is improving and there are also lakers and philedelphia 76ers

Team Philly!!

I'm from Rip City I loved the game last night ! 😁

good

This symmetry is just beautiful to watch - thank you for sharing!
Did you know that symmetry in general is considered as one of the most important parts of looking good - It just brings up gratification when viewing :)

hi @jrcornel, this is amazing, i love basketball game 👏🏼

Maybe they should have played man to man instead of zone defense. ;)

Looks like the only time they were in the zone was doing their little dance haha.

It was actually comical watching this game

Rough night but that coordination is pretty funny! On the bright side, they can only go up from here.

That is true... although they could always break their own records I guess, right? :)

It's just one game though. More games to come... :)

up

That video was actually creepy af lol.

Shooting some bball outside of school.

Buckle up, it is going to get worse. Too bad you can't fire owners. I'm going to the game tonight but only because my boys love Booker.

Yea a few more losses like this and the coach is gone. It was pretty sad that they preached ball movement and extra passes all offseason and there was none of that in the game. Even early on, Bledsoe and Booker both were looking for their own shot and forcing things not in the flow of the offense... Seemed like they have been reading their press clippings all offseason instead of playing like a team.

They had a shot to Kyrie Irving but the management didn't seem the likes of Kyrie Irving. Let's say the number one draft pick goes to Phoenix(Lonzo Ball). I don't think Ball and Booker could make the play-offs because the western bracket is to tight plus it aint even enough to beat the power house Golden Girls Warriors and the almighty Spurs. Every team has a chance though but the percentage to win is pretty low however stats are just numbers who knows. How I wish your Phoenix Suns belongs to the Eastern Conference well I must the chance of entering the national finals is pretty high since the conference isn't that tight Celtics and Cavs are the only threaths which they could easily beat.

Good point. Perhaps not, this year. However Ball and Booker would be a pretty good pairing for years to come... They are both 19-20 so they would have time still. :)

Let us just wait for their time sir. Good Luck to your Phoenix Suns and I believe you're a Cardinals fan too. It was nice reading your post about your Phoenix Suns although they lost but still an interesting blog post or whatever you call that.

That video of them running at the same time is creepy with the music hahah
LETS GO KNICKS

Great post you nailed it

It wasn't pretty but don't forget you have this kid!

I saw this on bleacher report and I was rolling. It's hilarious. On a real note, I think that Josh Jackson is going to be a stud for the Suns!

It is the worst loss in franchise history

very atypical to see in the best basketball in the world a score so bulky, excellent appreciation on your part to observe the coordination and slowness of the defensive balance of the suns, should make many adjustments to reach qualification positions this season. Congratulations
