The Super Eagles centre-back became a father for the first time following the arrival of his child to the world on Tuesday

Nigeria international William Troost-Ekong and his spouse have welcomed their first child, a boy, to their family.

And the Bursaspor defender has taken to social media to celebrate Oscar’s birth.

Troost-Ekong hinted at expecting a child back in May with his goal celebration in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against DR Congo – his first ever international goal for the three-time African champions - during their World Cup preparations.

The 24-year-old was a regular fixture in Gernot Rohr's squad at the 2018 Fifa World Cup and played in each of their games in Russia.
