The news of Real Madrid striker Ronaldo’s bronze sculpture fail seems to be making its way back into our lives again. It started with Jimmy Fallon referring to it in his monologue yesterday and now it has made its way into bbc sports.
Last year, talented Sculptor, Emmanuel Santos made a statue which depicted the football player giving a little smile. The statue was unveiled at the Cristiano Ronaldo Airport in his hometown but went ahead to cause a massive social media blacklash. Several people questioned its resemblance to the player and other people just made fun of the statue using memes.

Well now, apparently, Emmanuel is back to redeem himself. He said that he wanted to make a statue where Ronaldo had a more “serious’ expression. So here it is, his second attempt.

What do you think? I think it still looks nothing like him, but what do I know? If I was asked to sculpt Ronaldo mine would probably turn out like this.
