Unai Emery is the main candidate to become the new Arsenal manager. The English are still looking for a successor for Arsène Wenger.

The BBC reported on Monday evening that Emery is taking over the job of the Frenchman. At first Mikel Arteta seemed to become the new manager of The Gunners , but after discussions with all candidates Emery would be the best option. The Spaniard recently left Paris Saint-Germain.

Unai Emery was head coach of the French million-team for two years, with which he won the league title last year. The club also grabbed both the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue and the French Super Cup twice. At Sevilla, the 46-year-old coach had even more success, as he won the Europa League in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Arsenal has not yet confirmed the news, but the club did come out with other news about a Spaniard. Santi Cazorla says goodbye to the Londoners after six years. Since October 2016 the small midfielder did not come into action anymore due to a severe Achilles tendon injury. In total he played 180 official matches for Arsenal.
