Wow. So the transfer of Coutinho to Barcelona FC is official. The deal is worth about 142 million euros.
The world of football, especially in Europe, is insane. The transfer of Neymar for well over 200 million euros sent the footballing world into a spiral and clubs are now paying insane fees to land players.
Is this sustainable, especially since many clubs are backed by questionable owners and oil-backed states? Are transfers like this good for the game?
Is this making football more competitive or driving power into a few elite clubs that have the money to buy them.
I'm pretty sure this will make La Liga even less competitive than it already is....
