BLOG: This is how Close the NHL's Western Conference Playoff Race is

It's Pretty Damn Close!

While the Wild were playing the Predators yesterday, there was in fact a time where 5 teams in the Western Conference were all within just 1 point of each other, chasing that final Wildcard spot. The Wild, Avs, Ducks, Kings and even the fading Blues were all clumped together.

But fortunately for Minnesota, the boys managed to come from behind and get it done against the Western Conference leading Nashville Predators, meaning they re-establish their 2 point buffer over the Avs and a 3 point buffer over the Blues.

With the Wild just dropping the puck against the equally as red hot Boston Bruins as I type, check out how close this Western Conference playoff race looks:
