Andy Murray, always diminished to the hip, towards a end of season

Andy Murray has been dead on the Asian tour. The Scotsman is not likely to play again in 2017.

Andy Murray (30 years, 2e) has not been seen in competition since his defeat in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, early July, against Sam Querrey. The Scot, with the painful hip, has zapped the entire American tour, of which the US Open is at the moment the high point. His absence will be extended, as Murray said Wednesday via a press release his package for the Asian tour (Beijing and Shanghai), his presence in Vienna then Bercy being now more than uncertain. Unsurprisingly, his 2017 season is over.

"I will start the 2018 season in Brisbane to prepare for the Australian Open," said Murray, who already seems to be looking to the horizon.
