Three UCLA basketball players who have been arrested during the team's trip to China will not return on the team's scheduled flight and are staying in Hangzhou, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

ESPN was first with the report.

The three players who were arrested for shoplifting are LiAngelo Ball, brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball and son of LaVar Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill.

They were released on bail early Wednesday morning, ESPN reported.

The team stayed in Hangzhou before leaving for Shanghai on Tuesday. The Bruins beat Georgia Tech 63-60 in their season opener in Shanghai on Saturday.
