Star India was finally able to get the things that had been done for many years. Let us tell that Star India has purchased the right to broadcast from IPL 2018 to 2022. BCCI auctioned rights on Monday in which star India took it in a bid of Rs 16,347.5 crore in the global bid.

In this auction, 24 companies like Sony, Supersort, Yip TV, Econet, Gulf DTH OSN, Performance Media, Airtel, Times Internet, Facebook and Bine took part in the auction with Star India. Indeed, the media rights of IPL are the first broadcast and divided into two parts, which means mobile or Internet.

In the year 2008, only six companies took part in the auctions to get rights during the IPL and they were all the LIVE companies. At the beginning of the IPL, its rights were with the Sony Picture Network. Which had been acquired by a bid of Rs 8200 crores for 10 years.
