The United States met Mexico in the dreaded Estadio Azteca on Sunday for a World Cup qualifying match, escaping with a 1-1 draw. While Mexico controlled the pace of play, it was Captain America, Michael Bradley, who had the moment of the match. While Christian Pulisic has stolen headlines over the past few matches, the Captain came through with the goal of the day, chipping goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa from thirty yards out.

While I am a huge believer in the next wave of American stars (including Pulisic), I think that Michael Bradley will play a huge leadership role as the newcomers are called up. He showed why in that clip.

The US returns to qualifying action September 1 against Costa Rica.
