Technology has dozens of it's own controversies, just like the Blockchain and all cryptos. A widely acceptable fact is; We can not do without technology, whether we like it or not. In my blog today, i will like to illustrate one of the flaws of technology in todays sports, taking football/scoccer as a study since the introduction of some high-tech into the game.

There is a football tournament going on in Russia curreny, many might not be aware of it. Confederations cup 2017, the popular World cup younger cousins; hosted by FIFA every year that preceeds the Major Foorball Fiesta, four years intervals.

VAR has been a major controversy and much talked about topic in football since FIFA had introduced it in this year's tournament which was expected to eradicate foul plays and questionable goals.

Although, VAR is in it's testing phase; to see how effective it is beforr the Football Fiesta in 2018, the quality of the technology is now being doubted by football faithfuls across the globe and football pundits as well.

"Video Assited Rubbish" was one of the major headline by Goal.com during a controversy when Pepe of portugal's goal was cancelled during the Portugal vs Mexico match earlier in the week.

Chile's Eduardo Vargas also saw his strike cancelled following consultations between the centre refree and the VAR team reviewing the incidents on their consoles.........Futbol

To myself and many football fans, VAR is drupting the flow of the game each time a critical decision needs to be made; there is a 2-3 minutes of time waiting which is contrary to the football the World had known and love. The only waiting period acceptable is Halftime and when there is an injury incidents. This is a top notch flop of VAR.

The VAR phenomenon as football pundits had referred to it often has been something of concerned in almost all the matches played so far in this tournament.

In Sochi, Germany vs Austrailia 1st match was also controversial when Austrialian Tomi Juric made it 3-2 in the 56th minutes, it was "a ball to hand case" in that traditional football will be disallowed, but the refree after consulting with his VAR crew made the goal stand after much signalling and coded talks.

"We have seen how video assitance has helped refrees to make the correct decisions. I am happy with VAR so far. This is a milestone tournament. The VAR tests during confederations cup are also helping us to improve the processes and fine-tune communications. What fans have been waiting for over so many years is finally happening"..........Gianni Infantino, FIFA president.

Clearly Mr.Infantino is not speaking the mind of the fans except for himself. Although other sports in the United States and other countries uses this technology; Ice Hockey is one of the sports to be precise, but soccer is more physically intensive than Ice Hockey and so nobody needs to suffer and score a goal only for it to be dissallowed by a futuristic camera technology.

Football and it's uncertainty is the reason people love the game World wide. Introducing this technology by FIFA will only render the game hopless and less fun loving.

Thanks to Mr.Infantino and FIFA who had a great intention for us socceroos, but the errors they are trying to eliminate is harming football and mutilating it .
