World Cup's coming and as a football (some may prefer soccer but we call it football) country, I'd like to share my predictions. If you'd like to share yours in comment, please be my guest. Everyone has some team in their heart and since Turkey is not in this (since 2002, bummer :/) I'd like to go with Portugal. Therefore, my predictions will be partly wrong. I think Germany will win the cup but you'll see how I'll make Portugal champion in my scenario :)
Let's start.
GROUP STAGE
Group A: Uruguay is absolute favorite in this group imho. Russia might use home advantage but it's more likely to Egypt being second. Here's the rankings for me:
1.Uruguay 2.Egypt 3.Russia 4.Saudi Arabia
Group B: Spain will be first here even though Portugal is my favorite but no problem. Here's the list:
1.Spain 2.Portugal 3.Morocco 3.Iran
Group C: France for 1 for sure. Second place is too arguable. My vote is on Peru. Farfan may carry them. List:
1.France 2.Peru 3.Denmark 4.Australia
Group D: Messi will rule here, no doubt. Second place will be tough in here, too. Iceland and Nigeria are both good teams but my choice is Crotia.
1.Argentina 2.Crotia 3.Iceland 4.Nigeria
Group E: Brazil Brazil Brazil. Let's see how far Neymar can go. He is more mature now. Second place goes to Switzerland here.
1.Brazil 2.Switzerland 3.Serbia 4.Costa Rica
Group F: Germany is my realistic choice for the championship so they're first here. I'll be also watching Chicharito and Mexico here.
1.Germany 2.Mexico 3.Sweden 4.Korea Republic
Group G: Normally I'd say England but my another fav team is Belgium so my heart lies with them.
1.Belgium 2.England 3.Tunisia 4.Panama
Group H: My last fav is here, watch James Rodriguez :)
1.Colombia 2.Poland 3.Senegal 4.Japan
These are my group choices. I am aware that I am not too much realistic at some parts but this is what makes world cup special imo. Now,
ROUND 16:
Uruguay-Portugal: You know my answer here. PORTUGAL
France-Crotia: France will pass easily. FRANCE
Brazil-Mexico: Brazil is an obvious choice. BRAZIL
Belgium-Poland: I am sorry Poland. Round 16 is a success for you. BELGIUM
Spain-Egypt: My heart lies with Egypt here but miracle is needed. SPAIN
Argentina-Peru: I am not a big Messi fan but come on. ARGENTINA
Germany-Switzerland: No words. GERMANY
Colombia-England: I don't like England team so much. James pls. COLOMBIA
It's getting exciting. All 8 teams are looking just fine.
QUARTER-FINALS:
Portugal-France: CR7 will surprise everybody. PORTUGAL
Brazil-Belgium: I like Belgium but... BRAZIL
Spain-Argentina: Sorry Messi. End of the story. SPAIN
Germany-Colombia:As I said, Germay is the real favorite of this tournament. GERMANY
Portugal surprised the authorities but other teams were expected. Let's see if the fairytale will continue or not.
SEMI-FINALS:
Portugal-Brazil: I know, I know. But still. PORTUGAL
Germany-Spain: Early final. GERMANY
CR7 continued to amaze people and now they're facing the almighty Germany.
FINAL
Portugal-Germany: It's indeed a fairytale. PORTUGAL PORTUGAL PORTUGAL!

PORTUGAL
End of the story and my unrealistic predictions. However, I think if you put France in semi-final and then Brazil to the final, it is not too unrealistic. Anyways, I'd like to see your predictions, too.
