UTEP finished just 126th out of 129 teams in total rushing a season ago, registering just 1,147 yards, and averaging just 95.6 yards per game. They only mustered 9 rushing touchdowns as well, which was the third lowest total amongst FBS schools. Their leading rusher had just 362 yards and 2 TDs and no one on the team came close to averaging double-digit carries per game. Needless to say, the Miners' run game is in shambles at the moment, and while 4.47 isn't blazing speed, it's not exactly slow either and would provide a much needed boost in that department. Considering UTEP doesn't have a single RB on the current roster that stands out at all, don't underestimate Mars seeing the field as a freshman. UTEP could use someone at the position with his versatility, as currently, they don't have much a pass-catching option from the backfield on the roster either.

Fast, fast, fast!!!! That is the best way to describe this RB! The way he blasts through holes is amazing. Add to that his ability to break tackles and go out as a WR, this guy has a ton of potential. I see him getting better offers along the way.

Great game!
