Australian Supercars Championship 2018 - Shane van Gisbergen Wins in Adelaide

The 28yo New Zealander and already Champion in 2016 won the 1st race of the season with his Holden ZB Commodore by Triple Eight Race Engineering Team. Shane van Gisbergen had won last year two both races and will try to do the same tommorrow in Race 2 at the Adelaide Street Circuit.

Shane van Gisbergen started first after win the pole position but a bad start cost him and left him in 3rd place behind race leader Scott McLaughlin in Ford FG X Falcon by DJR Team Penske and James Courtney in Holden by Walkinshaw Andretti United. Although after the pits stops everything changed andthe stategy by Triple Eight team paid off as SVG rettok the lead and finally won the race !!! Former and 7 time champion Jamie Whincup finished 6th.
