Roger Federer wins for the 5th time against his arch rival Rafael Nadal winning in Shanghai Rolex Masters Final 6-4 6-3!!
The Swiss world No 2 beat Nadal in the finals of the Australian Open and Miami Masters and in the last 16 at Indian Wells, and never looked likely of losing to his long-time rival. Roger Federer took only an hour and 12 minutes to defeat Rafael Nadal, where he did not give Rafa the chance to break him and created a masterclass reducing the H2H to 23-15!!
With this win Roger Federer completed 700 wins on hard court and improves his record to 10-1 against top 10 players!!
He also becomes the second player to have most titles ( 94 ) after Jammy Connors ( 109 )!
Roger Federer has the most ATP 1000 titles in 2017, with Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev with 2 titles and Grigor Dimitrov with 1 title!
He reduced the point difference between him ( 2nd position) and Nadal ( 1st position ) to just 1960 keeping the hopes of him becoming the world number one at the end of the year still alive!
