Cubs GM Theo Epstein made the move today to send Chicago Cubs World Series Hero, Kyle Schwarber, down to the minor leagues for the next 2 weeks. But don't be mad at Theo, be mad that Kyle sucks this year.

Kyle is only batting .171 this year and his confidence is gone. The appropriate move at this point in the season IS to send him down to the AAA Iowa Cubs and let him regain his confidence. 7-10 games in the minors should give him plenty of chances to destroy some inferior pitching.

After becoming a postseason hero last year, Kyle Schwarber entered the off season with one of the highest trade values in the MLB. American League GM's were especially drooling at the chance to trade for him so he could be a dominant DH over the next 12 years. The Cubs have held on to him however and are not likely to part ways with him. This is one topic we will definitely tackle in our first ever SteemSports Cast tomorrow so be sure to listen in and give us your feedback.

As a lifelong Cubs fan, I hope to see this celebration again this year, and I hope that Kyle Schwarber is a major part of it! Cheers!

He's been hurt and they don't seen to give him a lot of field time lol !!

He was starting almost daily at the beginning but damn no more....@theprophet0 is over now

He is still recovering from that injury last year even though he killed it in his few post season games. He will be back and he will be better. He is too good of a player. The Mets sent down last year their top pick 2014 Michael Conforto for a bit. Was a treat as the Mets AAA is in Vegas where I live so i got to see him destroy minor league pitching. Now back up he is hitting .285 with 14 homers and a .953 OPS. Just that bit of confidence knowing you belong is all these great young players need.
