High school basketball report - Maclay blasts Chiles 60-21

in sports •  7 years ago  (edited)

Tonight the biggest rivalry in Tallahassee basketball battled each other. They are not the best basketball schools historically, but the closest of friends.

Maclay has been the better basketball school over the past 10 years even though they are 1/6th the size of Chiles.

When I was in high school, we never lost to Chiles and this Maclay squad wasn’t going to either.

When these teams faced off earlier in the year it was a close battle with Maclay winning by just a few points.

I expected this to be another close battle as Maclay traveled to Chiles to battle each other.

While watching the warmups there was a noticeable difference from the teams as Chiles was missing one of their better players.

This ended up being the difference in The game. At the end of the first quarter Maclay was up by 25 and at the half they were up 36.

In high school basketball in Florida, once you get up by 35 there is a running clock. The second half went by extremely fast. Maclay ended up winning 60-21. This is the largest margin of victory I have seen in the history of this rivalry.

Maclay vs. Chiles. Game Details please

60 - 21 is a big gap, judging by the score of the game, they are much weaker. When I played in the top five of the team, it was interesting. Thank you for sharing.
