As we approach the Football World Cup, here is a little guide (to print and read in front of your television or in the pub, why not) of the most popular competition of the most popular sport in the world ... From June 14th on July 15, for 32 days, the biggest stars of international football will compete against each other on the lawns of Russian stadiums - and for the first time across two continents.

Finished, endless protests and tragedies in full match: now it is an electronic eye that will make the decision, and the good. The video assistance to arbitration (VAR) will apply in four scenarios: after a goal scored, a penalty situation, a direct red card or to correct an identity error of a sanctioned player . After being set up in rugby competitions, this is the first time that video refereeing has been used at the World Cup; French Ligue 1 will follow next year.
