That's just part of the fun of this addition but I had to include a little humor in the title because it is just so funny that nobody really knows what to call the Washington Redskins after they decided to change the name of the team because: racism or something.

That's not the craziest part of all of this though. The crazy part is that the Redskins are a average at best team this year and the Steelers have looked all but unstoppable for all of the season. They looked unstoppable starting in the 2nd quarter of this game as it looked like it was going to be another rout when the Steelers went into the halftime team talks looking dominant on the field and ended at a score of 14-3.
I actually stopped watching at this point and resigned myself to the fact that this was going to be another beat down for the struggling Redskins. It seemed very unlikely that the Skins were going to win this game by the boys over in Vegas as well as the Steelers entered the game -300 favorites to win.

However, something magical happened to the Skins in the halftime motivational speeches because they scored very early in the 3rd (touchdown) and then added another TD and two field goals in the 4th. The Steelers on the other hand, seemed incapable of getting anything done in the last 50% of the game which just seemed odd considering how incredible they have been in every game up to this point.
There are some people out there already making excuses saying that the Skins were more "fresh" because they had almost an entire week of additional rest whereas the Steelers had to play midweek on Wednesday against a very tough (defensively speaking) Baltimore Ravens. I don't buy this copout, I think there could be a variety of factors leading to the defeat including the fact that these sorts of things happen every season. Someone is going to have a big upset during the course of a season, I just really wasn't expecting it to be the Washington "Football Team."

It's funny to me to see how the media is already jumping on the Washington bandwagon and talking about how they have a real chance to make the playoffs. This is after being basically berated for making terrible choices and all around being a terrible team by the same media for their previous 11 games.
Now here comes the real question: Does anyone out there who cares about football actually refer to this team as Washington, or the Washington Football Team, or do you do what I do and call them what they are and always will be... The Redskins?
