Tennessee Titans- 2017-18 NFL Season Analysis

After finishing a promising 9-7 record last season, the Tennessee Titans will look to make the playoffs this season. Experts believe that the Titans can take that next step because the Titans finally found their Quarterback; Marcus Mariota. The Titans know what they have with Mariota, that’s why the Titans have been building the offense around the former Oregon Duck Heisman winner. With an offense that includes Pro Bowler RB DeMarco Murray, former Heisman trophy winner RB Derrick Henry, 2017 first round pick WR Corey Davis, WR Rishard Mathews, WR Eric Decker, and Pro Bowler TE Delanie Walker this offense can be very good! This is the best roster since 2008, when the Titans (led by QB Kerry Collins) went 13-3.

Strengths: Left Tackle and Right Tackle

The former Michigan Wolverine LT Taylor Lewan and the former Michigan State Spartan RT Jack Conklin are arguably the best “Tackles Tatum” in the NFL. Both are All Pro caliber players, if they do well again this year expect this offense to go off. According to Pro Football Focus, Taylor Lewan and Jake Conklin helped the Titans grade out as the top offensive line in the NFL.

"It seems heretical to suggest that the Dallas Cowboys did not field the best offensive line in the game in 2016, but Tennessee's unit really was without a weakness all season," PFF wrote of the Titans line. All five starters earned impressive grades in both run blocking and pass protection. No member of the offensive line surrendered more than three sacks on the season."

Biggest Concern: Secondary

Titans released CB Jason McCourty earlier this year, Titans have added some CB’s but no one jumps out. Titans have to rely on former Patriot CB Logan Ryan and other 2017 first round pick former USC Trojan CB Adoree Jackson. Titans will have a solid rotation at the safety position with De’Norris Searcy, Kevin Byard, and Johnathan Cyprien. Pass rushers OLB Brian Orakpo and DE Derrick Morgan will need to create extra pressure this season.

I'm hoping Corey Davis has a monster rookie season!

I see him having 900-1050 yards this year...will make the all-rookie team

Hard to see considering its a low passing volume offense with one of the top run efficiency ratings. I could def see 750, but with the limited reps hes had i think 90p
