Neuville won Rally Sweden as Lappi won Power Stage

in sports •  7 years ago

Thierry Neuville won Rally Sweden for Hyundai in front of Craig Breen in Citroen. Margin between these two drivers was 19.8 seconds but in Sweden it's a lot because stages are extremely fast without that much technical sections.

Another Hyundai driver Andreas Mikkelsen finished third overall and this is a good point that shows us how Hyundai has the best WRC car at the moment.

Toyota's Lappi won the Power Stage and that's extra 5 points for him but the best part of it is that he passed Hyundai's Hayden Paddon who stalled the engine on Power Stage and finished 5th, one place behind Lappi.

It's important to say that World Champ Ogier dinished in 10th position while finishing 2nd on Power Stage (that's for extra points for PS).

Interesting weekend with a new Championship leader Thierry Neuville for Hyundai.

Nice post bro thanks <3 @ssekulji

Thank you for the review and I see that Hundai might be dominating this year.

Also, you might become my main source of WRC news for this season. I don't follow it strictly as my focus is Formula 1.

no domination is good. i like only road circuits in F1. :)

Same applies for Formula 1. I hope Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren won't allow Mercedes to dominate this year.

What is a road circuit in F1? Do you refer to the street races?

MC and Australia. it used to be Turkey in the past if I remember good. it's already very boring seeing Mercedes winning year after year

Now we have Azerbaijan GP as well. The race is at the streets of their capital Baku.

Here's something I just compiled. The driver standings after Round 2. After few heavy weeks of hosting my last contest I felt the need to sink in the community through the comments and socialize with people for the interests I have. One of my hobbies is creating and working with stats and tables, so it took me about 3 minutes to create this one. I'm using a tool that makes it as easy as a game.

If you'd like to use the code for the table and present the driver's standings in a future post, here's the code: https://anotepad.com/notes/hc6pif
