"Victory favors neither the righteous nor the wicked; only the prepared."
Last night we bore witness to an incredible fight. A man in Conor McGregor whom had never stepped into a boxing, gave the greatest pure boxer on Earth hell for a few minutes. I scored at least the 1st, 2nd, and 4th round for McGregor, and after the 5th round we saw a turning point in attrition.

Conor's jabs were incredibly sharp all fight, but we saw a real degradation in his ability to deal damage as the fight wore one. The 8oz. gloves are not that different in terms of force delivered, but they do differ in weight, and Conor felt that weight in the later rounds. He ran out of air in the 8th round, and the next two rounds were a bombardment from Floyd.
Right hands from every angle, and Conor's willingness to only grapple for minutes on end sealed the Irishman's fate. Regardless of outcome, it was a brilliant performance from a man who'd never laced pure boxing gloves professionally, and it was especially awe inspiring as he fought the best to ever do it!

We know Floyd is retired now, and from his strangely offensive and at times lackadaisical performance I can say that he won't fight again. This was almost an experiment for the 50-0 future hall of famer, he tested his own will and aggression against a younger, stronger, yet less skilled opponent. The future for this boxing prodigy will be spent promoting the next generation of top tier fighters; he will always be in the midst of combat sports and that is a great thing.
So What Is Next For McGregor?
McGregor has elevated himself beyond sports itself, he has lost before, been finished before...but his fans will always stick with him. He has shown absolute fearlessness in all his fights, from calling out the featherweight champ his 2nd fight into the UFC, and even fighting Nate Diaz on short notice, whom is a dangerous black belt and the biggest man he'd ever fought. For the first time in a boxing ring against the pound for pound number one boxer in the world, he did amazingly well!

Surprise, elation, respect: these are all the emotions viewers experienced last night. It was a spectacle of violence, and heart from both men were shown throughout the engagement. Conor will rise again, and return to his lightweight throne in the UFC. With the confidence, experience, and lessons learned last night...Conor will rise and again, and conquer his division which lays in wait.
Expect the motivated lightweight king to return maybe even this year; Conor is a true warrior, respect!

I really enjoyed this fight, I think MMA fighters are not used to a longer 12 round fights, would have been better if it was 8 rounds or less. But perfect ending in my opinion, great performance by Conor to win few rounds and survived through 10, Floyd got his stopage and perfect record for retirement. And both got paid a lot

Yes sir, beautiful end!

Was a great fight connor did a great job and hit Floyd with a lot of shots. Thought the stop was a little early but it worked out great

I admire McGregor for having committed his best fight.~~^^

Well said!

Next up, Connor has his sights set on winning Dancing With The Stars

Wooo!
good post man!

I think everyone can agree that McGregor did surprisingly well in the ring. With more proper training to increase his stamina, he could go toe to toe with the greats of boxing. The only thing wrong with the fight was that he got tired too quickly. Much respect for him. Both fighters did an amazing job.

You could tell Macgregor's boxing style was awkward right out of the gates, but it was such a fun fight to watch. I can see another boxing bout in Connor's future. After all, with Floyd retiring, I'm not sure how many more mega ticket event fights are going to be in store for boxing the next couple years.

Watched the highlights and looked like an awesome spectacle, wish I could stayed awake long enough to have watched it live! McGregor is fantastic.

Well said my friend, catch the highlights! Was tremendous!

It was a wonderful fight! I also watched the post-fight press conference and I love the Irish Man, he speaks with his heart on his tongue and in the ring he is a true warrior. He is the Storm! And completely insane, in a good way ;)

He is a magnificent fighter!

Great fight!!

Great summary! It was the most entertaining modern boxing match Ive seen. Even in the UFC Conor never had endurance in his arsenal, he needed a quick and brutal assault leading to a knock, Floyd is just to good to let that happen. Glad I didnt put money on the fight because I would have lost, they both earned respect last night

What a hyped fight!!!! l expected more from McGregor anyway we lost the fight to Money MayWeather, we also want MayWeather in the cage ....
