Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded the Ballon d’Or for world player of the year for the fifth time, he won his first Ballon d’Or in 2008 with Manchester United and won it again in 2013, 2014 and 2016.
The award was presented by magazine France Football through former France player David Ginola.
His record so far is tremendous as he led his side to the La Liga title with 25 goals and a second consecutive Champions League crown, he scored 12 goals including two in the 4-1 win against Juventus in the final.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar third
Veteran Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon finished fourth
Real midfielder Luka Modric came fifth.
Chelsea and France midfielder N’Golo Kante and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, was the highest ranked Premier League player, were ranked eighth and 10th respectively as the only English player that made it to the top.
