A Bad Day for Golf.. part two..

First professional players are playing like amateurs, and now amateurs are playing like assassins. In the world of bumbling bloopers and egregious errors, golf is taking a front row seat with a tragic turn.

A family from Utah is experiencing a nightmare much worse than McIlroy's disasterous quadruple bogey to start off the British Open. Earlier this week, a father and his six-year old "golfing-buddy" daughter, Aria, were out for a morning round Sleepy Ridge Golf Course in Orem.

A favorite past time of the two turned tragic as the father's errant tee shot took a horrifying hook and struck the young girl in the base of the neck.

Aria Hill was sitting in a golf cart parked on the path about 90 degrees off to the left of where the devastated dad sliced the sinister strike.

She was immediately rushed to the nearby emergency room and later flown to a hospital in Salt Lake City in critical condition where she eventually succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities are investigating the case, but don’t plan to pursue charges because it appears to have been a tragic accident.

A GoFundMe page set up by the grieving family intended to cover funeral and medical costs has already surpassed its $25,000 goal as of this morning. But really, I can't imagine the horror they must be going through at the moment. If you are feeling charitable here is a link to the fundraising campaign. Namaste..
