Are the Browns legit?

I love what the Browns have done this off-season and I believe they are legit as well. I love the addition of Landry, and I like what they've done overall. Duke Johnson Jr. is a great pass-catching back and obviously Hyde has been very solid the past few years for 49ers team that had nothing else going for them until Jimmy G arrived. I still think they should take Barkley IMO and they be very difficult for any defense to matchup against. Johnson's pass-catching, Hyde's versatility and then Barkley they'd be able to run teams into the ground and then counter with Landry and Gordon and co. through the air. But honestly, I can't argue if they go the route you described as well - they are in a good position either way.

I completely agree with Barkley but my thing with that is I feel he needs the ball a ton similar to Fournette in Jacksonville. and with the add of Hyde and keeping Duke Johnson JR you can't have a 3 person backfield I just don't believe that can work. It works well with teams like Philly, New England, Saints(2 person) becuause they compliment each other. Rex Burkhead isn't an every down back neither is Lewis nor James white so having the trio lets them work well because none is strong g in every aspect of the game like a Barkley. Jay Ajayi could be an every down back but with clement they have to split the reps which works because Corey changes what the offense can do. if the browns do draft Barkley I think we see LESS of Duke and Hyde and could even see them being cut or traded within one year of them playing with each other. but imo Barkley is then BEST player in the draft.

Yea you make a really good point with the 3-person backfield. Probably not enough reps to go around. Barkley is the type of back that can take on a heavy workload for sure, so I could see your scenario happening with one of the other guys possibly needing to be cut. If they feel they can get a few more years out of both of those guys at a high level, then you probably pass on Barkley, get your QB, and add either the top O-Line prospect with that # 4 pick or Chubb if he's available to pair with Garrett on that D-Line. Good take
