Do you like Football/Soccer? Beware... This Post Includes Time Traveling!

The first picture is showing part of the famous city Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It’s home of the first league football club UD Las Palmas. In the center you can see their first stadium that was built in 1945.

Well… this is how it looks today after it was transformed into a park about 2015.

On the following very rare black & white pictures you can see how it was build right into nowhere land (dunes).

But before one more pic of the stadium when it was still functioning.

As you can see the surrounding looks like a normal city. But now get ready for some time traveling….to 1943/44.

The stadium was built by hand directly into the dunes. On the left you can see some palm trees. There are no construction machines. Only a small truck. On the right you see the ocean, east coast of Las Palmas.

What’s interesting is that there are always only few workers.

Below you see the part that's faceing the road Calle Manuel Gonzáles Martín. This part is still standing as today.

And on the next image you see the park they made out of the stadium about 2014.

Three walls of the original building are still standing and only one was taken away. So you can walk into the park just like that. A nice solution.
