3 cushion billiards is played on a table with no pockets and only 3 balls: white, yellow, and red. There are two players; one player has the white ball as their cue ball and the other player has the yellow ball as their cue ball. The red ball is neutral. To score a point, the cue ball must contact the other two balls and three or more rails. The second ball must not be contacted until the first ball and 3 or more rails have been contacted first.
