The New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored two runs in the top of the ninth, but left the tying run on third base in a 6-5 loss to the Portland Sea Dogs in Maine. The Fisher Cats trailed, 6-3, entering the ninth inning, but opened the frame with three consecutive singles against Portland closer Jordan Weems. New Hampshire scored a run on a wild pitch and Harold Ramirez drove home a run on a groundout, but Weems struck out Cavan Biggio and forced Jon Berti to groundout to earn the save. The Fisher Cats got out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning thanks to an RBI single from Berti and an RBI double from Guillotte, but the Sea Dogs took the lead with a pair of runs in the second, sixth and eighth innings.
