13-time Grand Slam champion and Former World No. 1 Novak Djokovic defeated 20-time Grand Slam champion, current World No. 2 and 7-time Cincinnati champion Roger Federer 6-4 6-4 in the Cincinnati Masters final to win his maiden Cincinnati title. Novak Djokovic has now won all nine of the ATP Masters 1000 tournaments and all fourteen of the Big Titles (4 Grand Slams + World Tour Finals + 9 Masters 1000s) on the men's tour and has become the only tennis player in the history of the sport to achieve such a legendary, once-in-a-lifetime feat.
Novak's path to the title in Cincinnati has been nothing short of extraordinary. He had to beat three former Cincinnati champions on the way to his very first triumph in this tournament. He also played six matches in seven days and four of them were three-setters.
Novak can now proudly say this about every elite tennis tournament: "Been there, done that!".
