It's always a joy as a sports fan to see a guy who prides himself on the defensive side of the ball. I'm talking about a player that plays hard no matter the score and never takes nights off. Now these players are very rare obviously, but every once in a while you will see a few here and there. One of those rare players is Andrei Kirilenko. This guy brought it night in and night out. He could do a little bit of everything. He could pass (best season was 4.3 assist per game), score (best season was 16.5 ppg) and rebound (best season was 8.1 rebounds per game). He was also a great defender standing six feet and nine inches tall (7'4" wingspan). Andrei averaged almost 2 blocks per game (1.8) to go along with 1 steal as well. He would defend any player on the court. From Lebron James to Kobe Bryant, Kirlenko took on the task of guarding the opposing teams' best player. The guy would challenge every shot as if it was his last. I truly enjoyed watching him play. Nevertheless, click the video below for some of Andrei's career highlights. As always be safe and hope you enjoy the video.
