In a surprising twist to the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, the Boston Celtics found a way to win a game last night.
The Celtics were coming off the most lopsided loss by a number 1 seed in NBA history.
A game that saw them lose by 46 points.
And, it really wasn't even that close as they were down by more than that for much of the game.
Then, to add insult to injury (literally), Isaiah Tomas was ruled out for the rest of the Series with a hip injury shortly after the game.
That means the Celtics have no shot in Game 3, right?
Wrong!
Somehow Boston pulled themselves together, played good team basketball, and was able to squeak out a victory at the very end.
It likely won't be the start of something and quite possibly the only win they will enjoy the rest of this season, but it was shocking and welcome none the less.
What made it even more surprising is that this win came on Cleveland's home floor.
Cleveland's perfect playoff record is now ruined and I guess the Warriors will have to wait just a couple extra days now before they meet the Cavs in the Finals.
Either way, it was nice to see some competitive basketball for a change!
Good on you Boston.

It sure was a shocker! Thought the way things were going in the game tonight they were going to even the series. Lebron didn't look like Lebron for 6 quarters between game 3 and the first half tonight, but he got it going late. Sometimes you forget just how dynamic Kyrie is because he defers to Lebron, but when he's in attack mode he is sure fun to watch.

I was actually watching the first half and pretty concluded that it would be another Cavs win but when I came back to the TV at the 4th Quarter I saw the score getting closer and keep cheering for the Celtics to win.
Everybody loves to see an underdog winning a come from behind game. Now, we have a REAL competition!

Great to see Boston play hard and get the win! They deserved it more than the Cavs last night.

It will be very hard. LeBron will try to play great game after this one, but this is basketball "where amazing happens" so I hope for another close game and Boston win :)

Cavs got cocky in my opinion, everyone knows their going to win the series. Boston just proved that they won't go down without a fight. Great determination and effort from the Celtics!
