Stadiums that make you say, “Hmm, that’s nice,”.

#13. Citi Field (2009)- The stadium is nice but there isn’t much to write home about. The stadium itself is right on the edge of a beautiful area by Arthur Asche Park and the Queens Garden and empty dirt lots. I’m sure there will be something beautiful in those dirt lots eventually but I don’t know what is could be.

Transportation and access to the stadium is easy as there is a subway stop right in front of the stadium. The stadium also had good local breweries on tap and the hot dog was good. The toppings bar was the best I’ve seen with every amenity possible.

The field though lacks any kind of unique quality and the only team flair to the ballpark is the home run apple in centerfield and that was a staple at Shea Stadium.

#14. Busch Stadium (2006)- Busch Stadium was in a beautiful part of downtown St. Louis. The area was easy to access and was well lit at night. Oddly enough, the stadium didn’t have a ton of things to do outside the stadium. The stadium is nice but a virtual replica of the previous Busch Stadium with modern amenities. The local brew was, of course, a national brew too in Busch/Bud/Bud Lite so that wasn’t very exciting. A shiny run of the mill park.

#15. Globe Life Stadium (1994)- The stadium sat in-between a Six Flags and Cowboy’s Stadium. These attractions were surrounded by miles and miles of parking lots in every direction. There was nothing to do outside the stadium unless you had some chalk to draw in the parking lot. Access to the place was easy because of the highways that pass by and the hotels in the area all had shuttles to the game.

The concessions had plenty of good Texas beer and hotdogs were definitely Texas sized. The concourses to get to the stands and to the food stands were really confusing though as the walkways zigzagged every which way. Nothing stood out about the stadium other than the hotel in centerfield. A normal Texas sized stadium in the Texas heat…. Texas.

#16. Angels Stadium (1966)- Disney does baseball! Disney actually owned the team for a number of years. The stadium has a family friendly atmosphere but the décor of the stadium is lacking. The stadium just looks fake from the giant Disney like helmets at the front of the park to the giant fake rocks and waterfall in centerfield.

The traffic around the stadium is horrendous. It’s taken me a full three hours to get to the stadium because of the traffic on the 5. The parking situation isn’t bad though once you get there. The local LA brews are pretty good and the hotdogs are average.

#17. Nationals Park (2008)- The stadium was built in the Naval Yards which is a nice up and coming neighborhood. The place is shiny, new and nice but doesn’t have any defining features. Washington D.C. is a beautiful city with so much history and beautiful landmarks and the stadium fails to incorporate any of them. The outfield concourse is nice but again, the only way you can see any of the view of Washington is standing on your toes at the top of the stadium and then and only then can you see the Washington Monument.

#18. U.S. Cellular Field (1991)- Cubs get all the fame and glory with the history and the beautiful Wrigley Field and the White Sox get this… US Cellular Field. It is an average stadium on the south side. It plays second fiddle to Wrigley in every way. Oh well, at least the ChiSox have as many championships and the Cubbies in the last 50 years.

"There was nothing to do outside the stadium unless you had some chalk to draw in the parking lot." Gold level comment. Citi Field is everything it needs to be without any fluff. Great reviews.

Very nice, we hope we will interact with each other
