Sri Lankan all-rounder and former captain Thisara Perera has announced his retirement from international cricket on 3 May. Thisara Perera was one of the finest players of all time, he won the match to Sri Lanka by making a lot of contributions, he has played great roles in batting as well as bowling, he hit 35 runs in an over of Robin Peterson in an ODI match against South Africa on 26 July 2013, he became the first Sri Lanka player to hit 6 sixes in a single over of Dilhan Cooray against Bloomfield from Sri Lan ka Army Sports Club on 28 March 2021, he became the second player after Brett Lee to take a hat-trick wicket against India in a T20I match on 12 February 2016.
The career of Thisara Perera-
Thisara Perera played his first Test match against England on 26 May 2011, and the last Test match against Pakistan on 8 July 2012, during which he scored 203 runs in 6 Tests and also took 11 wickets. Thisara Perera played the first ODI match against India on 24 December 2009, and the last ODI match against the West Indies on 14 March 2021, during this scored 2338 runs in 166 ODI matches, and also took 175 wickets. Thisara Perera played the first T20I match on 3 May 2010 against Zimbabwe, and the last T20I match against West Indies on 7 March 2021, during this scored 1204 runs in 84 T20I matches, and also took 51 important wickets.
